Review from FHM
If you hoped the concept album had finally died a death when Marillion
hung up their jester's outfits, then check out Mansun's follow-up to last
year's smash Attack Of The Grey Lantern, which is cut from the same harlequin's
cloth. Ominously, Six is split into two parts, with an "Interlude"
consisting of a harpsichord plinked abortion with ex-Dr Who Tom Baker reciting
the vocals. The singles Legacy and Being A Girl are tight, but totally
eclipsed by Shotgun's howling guitar arcs and nine minute bore that is
Cancer. Worse, Fall Out has The Nutcracker Suite as it's backing
track! There was less bilge pumped from the hold of the Herald Of
Free Enterprise.
